The private members bill currently before parliament could have far reaching effects on the industry and past and future purchasers of cherished numbers.It is proposed that private number plates need not follow the strict rules governing the set out and make up of the digits on the plates.Existing owners may find their private plates seriously devalued as better combinations become available while new buyers will have a much greater choice.
